This book mainly attempts to explore political issues, religious strategies, caste system, and upper class and lower class in pre- Independence and post-independence of India. Also, this book focuses on love and marriage. Seth wrote only three novels, and many poems, his novels are the very long narrative story. Every character and their life reflects that status and conditions of 19th and 20th-century people. Seth mainly prefers domestic life story and his writing mingling of poetic and rhythmic style. His characters all are very charming and good. This book fully deals with the controversial thing of marriage rituals, religious harmony and social economic status in India.
