Training Need Assessment

Training is a solution for performance and people related issues faced by the organizations. Many smaller organizations do not follow systematic procedures in identifying training needs due to priorities and conveniences. The objective of this book is to provide guidelines to the practitioners and aspiring HR professionals in conducting training needs assessment using a competency mapping model. It also provides a base for the manufacturing units in identifying the training needs with an insight to behavioral competency framework. The book provide the readers a practical insight of the application of the tool of competency mapping for identifying the training needs of individual employees. The book elaborates the concepts of Competency, Competency Mapping, Psychometric Tests, Job Analysis and training process in organizations.
