The choice of this topic is due to the importance that Emotional Intelligence has in the development of children, both in the family and in the school environment, where they acquire an apprenticeship. I am interested, through this work, in demonstrating its benefits. In addition, learning about this concept is favorable if an excellent achievement of emotional skills is achieved and with this, the development of basic social skills, which provide a good self-esteem to students, develop the ability to empathize, be accepted and valued more and thus try to prevent future problems. "What really matters for success, character, happiness and life achievement is a defined set of social skills, not just cognitive skills, which are measured by conventional IQ tests." (Daniel Goleman, 1996).
