Training to Improve Tomato Production in Ondjiva
Details
This work was carried out with the aim of characterizing tomato production in the two seasons of Ondjiva, in order to develop a training system that would provide the necessary tools for the development of tomato production under the local soil and climate conditions. In order to carry out the research, three orchards were selected in Ondjiva, with the help of criteria from the municipality's agricultural experts. The research was carried out between April and June this year, taking into account all the stages of the investigation. The study methodology was based on the principles of Participatory Action Research and involved the integration of analytical methods, multi-criteria and tools for the study and evaluation of production, using methods such as interviews, surveys and observation. The results were unanimous: there were unfavorable criteria regarding the correct management of the different activities to be carried out in the cultivation cycle.
