Transition Metal Heterochelates containing coumarin and clioquinol

Interest in coumarin chemistry has flourished for many years; basically as a result of the wide spread use of coumarin derivatives. Coumarin, the basic molecule of the family of many derivatives, is the simplest naturally occurring phenolic substance possessing fused benzene and -pyrone rings. Naturally occurring as well as synthetic derivatives of coumarin compound are of importance in wide ranging fields as medicinal chemistry, biochemistry, plant science and pharmacology.
