Translation and Annotation of Ancient Uyghur Trading Contracts

The book was sponsored by the National Social Science Fund of China in 2001 and published by Zhonghua Book Company in November 2006. The book consists of three parts. The first part presents Chinese version of 29 trading contracts in Uyghur. In the second part, the writer annotates the trading contracts in Uighur in terms of rewriting original texts and explanation for vocabulary. Although some matters only involve one word, the causes need to be completely explained in theses. Therefore, the third part, the highlight of the book, presents the author's studies on ancient Uighur trading contracts, which demonstrates her original ideas and years of painstaking efforts.

Liu Ge is a professor at the School of History and Culture, Shaanxi Normal University. Professor Liu has been engaged in the historical research of Turkic-speaking ethnic groups for a long time. She has published more than 20 papers in authoritative and core journals such as "Ethnic Studies" and "Research on Chinese Economic History".
