Translation of Proper Names in Children's Literature

Children's literature is a remarkable area of writing and a growing area of study. By the increased translation of children's literature in the world, all children and youngsters are used to reading translated books but with the names of characters, places, institutions and cultural references in their original language. This book explains difficulties and complexities of deciding what strategy works where considering the proper names in children's literature.

Saeideh Ahanizadeh obtained her BA in English Translating/Azad Tehran University in 2008. She received her MA in Translation Studies. Currently she teaches English at SAMA UNIVERSITY of Tehran. Her areas of interest include writing, translation, and text analysis. She is a writer and translator.
