Transport Economics is concerned with various aspects for movements to locate economic activity. It cover choices of commuters and challenges of road transportation. In this book the authors examine mainly theories and empirical studies in and around border towns of Cameroon, Niger and Chad. It cover extensively Northeastern part of Nigeria. This part of the world has drawn international concerns due to insurgency that had affected the inflow of migrants and other runaway soldiers from Mali, Libya. It has created on a wider horizon which is thought to have been worsen by the porous borders of Nigeria. This book also shows that results of crisis and the worsening of transportation around the Lake Chad Basin countries.

Associate Professor of Development Economics. I studied Economics at B.Sc and M.Sc level in Nigeria (UniMaid). My PhD: Transport Economics in Malaysia (UUM) in 2014. I'm married with four children. Started work as account clerk, then work briefly with my state government (Adamawa State) before joining the Modibbo Adama University in 2004.
