Tumour Necrosis Factor and its soluble Receptor 2
Details
In keeping with the analogy of the immune response being akin to a double edged sword, this work is an evaluation of both the beneficial and deleterious effects of Tumour necrosis factor and its soluble receptor Two among paediatric falciparum malaria cases. In a nutshell the study links malaria symptomatology to the effects of the pro-inflammatory immune casacade. Hence, through this book we have sought to delineate the diverse downstream effects emanating from increasing parasitaemia and the varying circulating Levels of these cytokines. With the view of expanding the available arsenal of diagnostic assaults against falciparum malaria. Thus, alleviating the pernicious devastation falciparum malaria visits upon these cases in the short-term and reducing the paediatric malaria disease burden in the longterm.
