Turkological Essays

Global community shows great interest in Kazakhstan and the Kazakh people. We hope that this book will help people interested in the history and culture of Kazakhstan, to obtain more information about this state and its people. The book consists of two parts. The first chapter represents small articles. These articles aim at popularizing scientific information about the ancient interaction between the Turkic and Slavic people. The second chapter is devoted to the interaction of the Kazakh (Turkic) and Russian (Slavic) languages at the level of word stock. Here, the author pays special attention to the peculiarities of translation of such a linguistic fact as paroemia.

Gulnara Kuldeyeva is Doctor of Philology, Professor of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University in Astana city, Kazakhstan. She has passed the scientific school of Kazan Federal University, Russia. Her sphere of scientific interests is intercultural communication, interaction between the Turkic and Slavic languages and their translation.
