Tuta absoluta, Plague of Tomato

This book is an attempt lead to historiography, monitor and record what has already published for Scrobipalpula absolta (Myrick, 1917) = Tuta absoluta (Povolny, 1994) insect which attacked the cultivations of tomatoes in various parts of the world and rapidly colonoised vast areas of different continents became a key problem in both outdoor and greenhouse crops unrealized losses for the growers, so we collected these review data and classified according to the subject for the benefit of the reader and whom interest in this regard to construct the integrated idea of this pest as well as means of control since 1988 to 2012 and recognize the experiences of different countries to take advantage of them.

Mohamad M. A. Khedr, received his M. Sc. (2002) from Zagazig Univ. and Ph. D. (2011) from Benha Univ., Egypt. He is currently working as Researcher at Department of Cotton Leafworm, Plant Protection Research Institute, Egypt and authored several research papers deals with plant protection and pest control.
