Details

Ubiquitination is a major protein post-translational modification, which is involved in many aspects of cellular procedure. The functions of ubiquitination in immune system and immune response have been intensively studied. This book aims to introduce the latest and crucial achievements, along with the fundamental principles of ubiquitination and immune responses. It covers the proteomic aspects of ubiquitination, the function of ubiquitin in innate and adoptive immunity, the development of immune cells, and the metabolism. The active researchers in this field are invited to contribute the chapters. This book is suitable for graduate students, researchers and readers who are interested in this field. It will provide readers with comprehensive insight into how ubiquitination functions in different aspects of immune system.

Introducing the latest and crucial achievements in ubiquitination in different arms of immunity Including the fundamental principles of ubiquitination and its regulation mechanisms in immune responses and diseases Providing comprehensive topics from proteomic of ubiquitination to its function in innate and adoptive immunity

Autorentext

Dr. Hongbo Hu is the director of Center for Immunology and Hematology and a full professor at the State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy, West China Hospital, Sichuan University. He received his Ph.D. degree in Immunology from the Chinese Academy of Medical Science/Peking Union Medical College and then worked as a postdoc and Instructor at the Baylor College of Medicine and UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. He established his independent laboratory at Sichuan University in 2015. Dr. Hu's research focuses on the regulation of immune cell development and functions, especially the function of protein post-translational modification (ubiquitination) and signaling pathways involved in the development of immune system and immune response, autoimmunity, and cancer immunotherapy.

Xianghui Fu is a full professor at the State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy, West China Hospital, Sichuan University. He received his Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Peking Union Medical College, and then worked as a postdoc and staff scientist at the University of Bergen and City of Hope National Medical Center, respectively. His laboratory aims to understand the role of metabolism in human life-threatening diseases, especially cancer and metabolic diseases such as diabetes and NAFLD, and to explore their implications in translational and clinical medicine.
