This college is one of the several academic institutions running in the same campus managed by Udai Pratap Educational Society. Late Rajarshi Udai Pratap Singh Ju Deo the Raja of Bhinga estate in Baharaich District of U.P. province established this college in the year 1909. At that time, it started as merely a High School but at present there are several institutions running in this campus. This college, named Udai Pratap College Varanasi started functioning as a degree college in the year 1949 with only a few graduation level courses in Arts and Commerce. Now the college provides higher education in several courses at graduate and post-graduate level.
