The song was performed second on the night, following France''s Jean Philippe with "Oui, oui, oui, oui" and preceding Italy''s Domenico Modugno with "Piove (Ciao, ciao bambina)". At the close of voting, it had received 12 points, placing 5th in a field of 11. The song is a love ballad, in which Wilke sings about how much she wishes she were her lover. She then describes how she would love herself in this situation, including asking for her hand in marriage.
