Ukrainian Crisis

The wars of the present are no longer based on rational logic, but are based on the irrational, are multipolar and involve asymmetric actors. The current security context is one of fluctuations and reconfiguration of international relations, as a new formula, with several power poles.The drama of the Ukrainian crisis is the expression of Russia's expansionist rhetoric and it is a powerful message sent to other states within its sphere of influence, but, also, a message sent to the West. Which would be the correct definition of an adequate response to new security, political and economic challenges after Crimea's annexation?NATO and OSCE have to refocus and adjust their defense posture, in the current security equation. Also, the European Union needs a real high-level dialogue, with reflection about decision-making process in security and political terms.Ukraine is still trying to define its identity, in relation to the European Union and NATO, on the one hand and in relation to Russia, on the other. Which will be the strategic identity of Ukraine in perspective?Is it possible a coordinated and long-term transatlantic reaction to the Russia's hybrid policy and strategy of chaos?
