The main objective of this book is to state the successful strategy to design and implement printed UWB antennas by introducing the EBG structures in the optimal location. This aim is realized through the following steps: 1- Design planar and cylindrical circuit antennas with an UWB performance, 2- The proposed antennas are performed to show the highest gain over a wide range of frequencies for medium wireless communication systems, 3- Design EBG structures with the best performance in terms of bandwidth and electromagnetic properties to suit the proposed antennas, 4- Integrate the proposed antennas with the introduced EBG structures and study the effect of them on the antenna performance.
Autorentext
Taha A. Elwi received his B.Sc. in 2003 and M.Sc. in 2005 from Laser and Optoelectronics Engineering Department Al-Nahrain University Baghdad, Iraq. In 2005, he worked to Huawei Technologies Company, Baghdad, Iraq. In 2008, he joined the University of Arkansas at Little Rock to obtain his Ph.D. His research areas include novel antennas designs.
