Ultrasonic activation of the wire electrode on EDM processing machine

The development of aeronautical industry has imposed identification and processing the materials with high physical-mechanical properties. Having often a complex geometric configuration, these materials can only be processed by special technologies, called unconventional. In this context, the book analyzes two distinct technologies: electrodischarge and ultrasonic energy. Each technology has its peculiarities, but by their combination resulted in a synergistic component of high performance. Ultrasonic activation of wire electrode used on machines by EDM wire electrode has conducted to increased erosive capacity, improving the dimensional accuracy, the shape deviation and surface quality processed. The book is primarily addressed to the engineers and technicians in the manufacturing industry of materials, but also, to teachers or students in technical higher education.
