Understanding Emotional Problems

Understanding emotional problems arising from leadership crises is a tool to enlighten, prepare and inform the upcoming ministers and those who desire to join the ministry on challenges and problems that ministers go through. (Hosea 4:6) It is also intended to encourage those going through problems and crises in the ministry. II Cor. 4:8-11, "We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed. All adversities are designed to produce a proper response that leads to growth and knowledge of God. Psalms 30:5-7, "...Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning". Christianity was never intended to be one laugh after another. The abundant life which Christians walk down countless aisles to find is not the comfortable, problem-free existence most are hoping to receive. It is a life of warfare, a struggle for God against Satan, a life full of disappointments heartaches and suffering... If our Lord experienced painful emotions, and if a spiritual giant like Paul felt them as well, then we should not be surprised if we go through exceedingly painful times. L. J. Crabb
