English language doesn't have the largest number of native speakers in the world, but it has the widest reach of any language spoken today. Both native and second-language speakers of English are found on every continent, and English has become the lingua franca in many fields, including business, politics, science, technology, and entertainment, to name a few. English is the working language of many international organizations. English is also used as a Foreign Language in many countries where it is used as a compulsory subject from elementary level to university. Snehangshu Shekhar Chanda was born in 1968 at Boalia of Kalukhali Upazilla under the district of Rajbari, Bangladesh. He completed higher studies in English from Rajshahi University, Rajshahi, Bangladesh. He did a PhD in English Linguistics from USA and he is currently working as a Professor of English at Sylhet Agricultural University, Bangladesh.
