Understanding the forecast effect of turbulent environment

The world is experiencing a Covid-19 including Indonesia, Riau Province, which borders neighboring Malaysia. The appeal to prevent the chain of spreading this virus requires people to stay at home. This has an impact on economic instability and one of the directly affected is SMEs in Riau Province. For this reason, a survival strategy is needed for SMEs to be able to continue to maintain their business performance in the midst of this pandemic. Several research results before recommending a survival strategy for SMEs in the form of conducting Open Innovation and Social Media Usage in dealing with the COVID 19 pandemic as Environmental Turbulence in increasing Firm Performance as a way to survive during this pandemic. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Environmental Turbulence, Open Innovation, Social Media Usage on Firm Performance on SMEs in Riau province. Purpose sample in this study is SMEs located in Riau Province as many as 101 SMEs.
