This book essentially covers a physical understanding of underwater Nd:YAG laser micromachining on PMMA doped with carbon black. Improvement in cutting edge quality can be readily observed in underwater machining. Several experiments were performed according to response surface methodology. Proper care was taken for designining of experiments for underwater condition. Statistical models were developed and optimized for various output process parameters.

Il dottor Shashi Prakash lavora attualmente come professore assistente presso il SEAS dell'Università di Ahmedabad, Ahmedabad, Gujrat. Ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca in Ingegneria meccanica presso l'Indian Institute of Technology di Patna, Bihar, India. È stato medaglia d'oro nel corso di Master in Ingegneria della Produzione dell'Università Jadavpur di Kolkata.
