This book presents a refined methodology to predict fatigue life of high-strength steels: Uniform Material Law (UML) for High-Strength Steels. In contrast to other available methods, UML is a handy method as only tensile strength data of metals are needed for estimation of the strain-life curves. The extension of UML to high-strength steels will be of interest and use to mechanical and structural engineers and researchers of related disciplines.
Autorentext
Sinan Korkmaz did his undergraduate work in civil engineering and business administration (double major) at Istanbul Technical University. He obtained a M.Sc. degree from Bauhaus University. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL). He worked at leading construction companies in Europe, Asia and Africa.
