Unorganized Sector in India

In India, a large section of the total workforce is in the unorganized sector with different working and living conditions , which contributes a sizeable portion of the country's net domestic product. This book has explored the unorganized sector labour in India. It attempts to have a broad overview of extent, growth and productivity levels in this sector in India. And provides substantial insight into the extremely heterogeneous nature of this sector, the study is carried out at a disaggregated level for stone quarry workers working and living conditions of the sector both for rural and urban areas
