Up-&-Rising is an alternative music concert which was first held in 2007 at The Point, Cardiff Bay. From then on it has been held annually to promote local talent in the South Wales area.The name Up-&-Rising is based upon the artists which are chosen to perform at the event are on the - Up and Rising. Since the event started in 2007, it has been organised in conjunction with Radio Glamorgan to raise money for both Radio Glamorgan and Teenage Cancer Trust Both charities having a direct link with the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. The event has attracted a lot of attention from alternative/rock generic bands in the South Wales area who are looking for a chance to perform in front of potential fans.
