Urban redesign of the fairy land in the town Wels

What defines the identity of a place? A unique combination of time, space and action. Wels is a town developed from and because of the river Traun. Today, for certain reasons, it looks like the town looses the connection with its mother. Bringing back the original identity of the town, is the goal of this project. The key to achieve this goal is to redesign the area of the Fairy Wels, which is in between the old town and the river.

Jelena Blagojevic finished Master studies of architecture at FH Kärnten in Spittal/Drau, Austria. Bachelor studies she finished at University of Architecture in her home town Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the studies the main field of interest was landscape architecture and urban planning developed through the practice and theory.
