Use of Dynamic Geometry Software in High School Geometry

Teaching and learning of high school Geometry can be a very difficult task for some of the teachers and students in the absence of appropriate teaching and learning tools. Dynamic Geometry Software (DGS) can be a useful tool for both the teachers and students of Mathematics in order to teach and make clear the complicated aspects of high school Geometry. This book is based on a short study on how the use of Dynamic Geometry Software is helpful for both the teachers and students of Geometry. It has uncovered some interesting and useful features of DGS and some ideas on how the use of DGS can be helpful in teaching and learning of Geometry more effectively. The book can be useful and helpful not only for teachers and students of Mathematics but also for curriculum developers, educational researchers, DGS designers and anyone interested in the field of Mathematics Education.

Yadu Nath Poudel, M.A., M.Ed.: Studierte Mathematikdidaktik am King's College in London und an der Tribhuvan University in Nepal. Er unterrichtete Mathematik an mehreren Schulen und Hochschulen in Nepal und Großbritannien. Derzeit ist er als Leiter der Mathematikabteilung und Lehrerausbilder an der Excelsior School in Swoyambhu, Kathmandu, Nepal, tätig.
