Using containers in construction

This exploratory book analyses the characteristics of the reuse of storage and transport containers in architecture, especially for the design of conventional and temporary emergency housing. This book approaches the subject taking into account technical, functional and aesthetic issues, as well as providing for possible adaptations to the climate and specificities of various countries, especially in the Lusophone Area. This book contributes to a deeper understanding of the subject and, possibly, to expanding the use of this material in construction. Happy reading!

She has a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from Faculdade Meridional - IMED (2017). She is a volunteer researcher in the Theory and History of Housing and the City Research Group (THAC-IMED). She works mainly in the areas of social housing, hospital architecture and construction using reused containers.
