Using ground penetrating radar and geodetic data in the road industry

The aim of the book is to develop theoretical suppositions and work out practical recommendations for preventive maintenance of the road network in conditions of limited funding, based on improved methods for assessing and predicting the state of the road network and optimizing the allocation of resources for their repair and maintenance. Research objectives: Analysis of the theoretical suppositions of the transport management and operational state of highways, methods of allocating resources for their repair and maintenance, justification of the preventive maintenance strategy. Rationale of technical means of diagnostics, methods for assessing and predicting the condition of the road network when implementing a strategy of preventive maintenance in conditions of limited funding. Development of indicators and models for assessing the technical and operational state of the road network, attracting the results of a GPR survey, instrumental and visual assessment. Generalization of the obtained results into a methodology for the implementation of preventive maintenance of the road network in conditions of limited funding.
