Václav Karel Holan Rovenský (1644 27 February 1718) was Czech baroque composer and organist. He is sometimes called one of the most important composers in the hymnal tradition in Czechia.He had been organist in Turnov and Rovensko pod Troskami (where he was also cantor) from 1668 and in Dobrovice, near Mladá Boleslav, in 1679 1680. During his tenure at Vy ehrad he may have taken a pilgrimage to Rome and sometime in the early eighteenth century he lived a prayerful and hermit-like existence at Waldstein Castle near Turnov.
