Valley Fair Mall is a 830,000 square foot; single-level regional shopping center located in West Valley City, Utah. It was constructed in 1970 on the southwest corner of the I-215 belt route and 3500 south in the Salt Lake Valley. Valley Fair Mall hosts approximately 120 in-line shops, food court and a nine-screen Cinemark movie theatre. As of spring 2009 the site anchors include: Macy''s (formerly Meier & Frank and before that ZCMI), JCPenney, and Costco. In 2005 Satterfield Helm Management, Inc. of Sandy, Utah purchased the mall and in 2006 announced plans for a massive renovation of the center. The new Costco store opened its doors in 2007 as the first part of a four phase redevelopment.
