Ved Prakash Goyal (1926 December 17, 2008) was an Indian politician and the Union Minister of shipping in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government in India from 2001-2003. He was the treasurer of Bharatiya Janata Party for a long time. He was a member of Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Parliament of India.He was born in 1926 in Karnal in Haryana and passed B.Sc. (Engg.). He was educated at Dayanand Anglo Vedic College, Lahore and Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University. He was a praharak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for some time in Uttar Pradesh after completing his studies. He took great efforts to set up the Malaviya Mission, an alumni association of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) established to probagate the vision and mission of Madan Mohan Malaviya the founder of BHU.
