Vehicle Inspection

The Annual Vehicle Inspection was adopted in the city of São Paulo for four years and then abandoned by the municipal government. The book shows how this instrument encouraged the preventive and corrective maintenance of cars, motorcycles and heavy vehicles, significantly reducing the volumes of air pollution in the city while it was adopted, making it a fundamental tool for reducing the concentration of toxic and greenhouse gases in cities with a large number of vehicles.

A business administrator with a master's degree in science from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo, he was São Paulo's Secretary of Transportation and Secretary of Infrastructure and President of the São Paulo State Housing and Urban Development Company.
