The Vélodrome de Vincennes (officially Vélodrome Jacques Anquetil - La Cipale) is a stadium in Vincennes, near Paris, France.Initially built as a velodrome in 1894, it became the main stadium for the 1900 Summer Olympics, where the opening ceremony took place; however, the track and field events were held at the track of Racing Club de France. Events that took place in the Velodrome included cycling, cricket, rugby union, football and gymnastics. The stadium was also used for cycling and football events at the 1924 Summer Olympics.
