Venture Capital Applications In Islamic Financing

This book carries a range of new ideas in the Islamic finance field, which aims to offer modern financial instruments that compliant with Islamic Shari'a. The book discusses various theoretical concepts associated with Venture Capital financing and how Venture Capital companies make their investment decisions, then, it offers a general framework for the application of these concepts under Islamic Shari'a by dropping various Islamic contracts on the Venture Capital investment process. The book also explains briefly the concepts associated with Zakat and Waqf funds, and suggests two schemes in aim to operationalize these two funds, with the display of various expected positive results.

I am an economist, working as a lecturer at L'Arbi Benmehidi University, Oum El Bouaghi, Algeria; Vice Head of the Finance and Accounting Sciences Department. I am a member of COFIFAS research lab. I have a Ph.D in Finance from the High Business School of Algiers (ESC). I work on subjects such as: VC, PE, Governance, Islamic Finance, etc.
