Vertical integration in the electronics industry from a RBP

The book addresses the codependences between the vertical integration and the resource-based perspective of companies operating in the electronics industry. The electronics industry is a rapidly changing market, characterized by reduced operating margin, high capital expenditures, short product life cycle and a global supply chain. Companies which are competing in such a market are facing the same challenges and using similar resources. However, they do not achieve the same success level. The aim of the book is to discover how electronics companies can develop core competences and obtain competitive advantage by optimizing the resources in a vertically integrated supply chain setup.
