In this Book Dr. A. SIVANANDA REDDY analysed the Socio - Economic and Political scenario in Andhra Pradesh prior to 2004 Assembly Elections, Studied performance of major Political parties such as INC, Telugu Desam, TRS and PRP, assessed the impact of Padayatra of YSR on 2004 elections, evaluated election manifestos of INC, TDP, TRS and PRP, examined the performance of political parties in 2004 and 2009 Assembly Elections, traced the sociological factors for the success of the Congress Party and Y.S.R role in 2004 and 2009 Elections, highlighted various Social Welfare Programmes initiated by Congress Government from 2004 to 2009 and their impact on 2009 elections and also analysed the perceptions of the selected voters.
