The magazine presents fictional texts, articles about various kinds of literature, and book reviews. Owner is the publishing house Gyldendal Norsk Forlag. Four paper editions are issued annually. The editor-in-chief from 2008 is Audun Vinger. Gyldendal Norsk Forlag AS was founded in 1925. It was established after a corporate demerger brought about when a group of Norwegian investors led by Harald Grieg "bought home" the works of The Four Greats and Knut Hamsun, which had previously been published by the Danish publishing house Gyldendal.
