Violence against women

Traditionally Indian society is a male dominant one where the women are subjugated and are prone to violence.Among the violence,domestic violence is the most common form of violence perpetrated by husband against wife for various causes.This book, therefore,provides the prevalence rate of violence,forms of violence,differences in each form of violence on the base of women's background characteristics and women's empowerment indicators and women's attitude toward wife beating etc.It also suggests the policy implications so that the effort can be taken to stabilize the same.This book helps the readers to understand the concept analytically and facilitates the interested people to lay a strong foot in this particular arena for future research.
