Violence against women: criminological aspect

The actuality of the special study on the prevention of domestic violence against women is primarily due to the prevalence of this phenomenon which is global in nature. With the development of public life domestic violence against women is singled out as a separate socially significant problem and receives a pronounced negative evaluation from society. At the same time different states come to her understanding at different times and in different circumstances. The relevance of a special study of the problems of preventing domestic violence against women is due not only to the prevalence of the studied phenomenon. In recent decades the criminological characteristics of domestic violence against women have recorded significant changes which also require an explanation. The importance of studying is also determined by the direct link that exists between domestic violence against women and problems such as the education of the younger generation and public safety.
