Visitationen am Reichskammergericht

Every year, the representatives of the estates and the emperor met in order to evaluate the Reichskammergericht, the highest court in the Holy Roman Empire. As they met, they made sweeping political and judicial decisions. This monograph, which uses new sources to describe the constitutional and intellectual history of the 16 th century, will help motivate a re-evaluation of the court and its work.
