Visual Anthropology

This book is an anthology of texts written over a period of more than 10 years as a result of my MA studies in Visual Anthropology at Goldsmiths College, University of London between 2003 and 2004. They deal with this young discipline and its multiple interpretations, as well as, in particular, with the relationship between ethnographic film and performance within the audiovisual representation of cultures. They were published, for the most part, previously, in various print and electronic media individually and now I gather them here, because they have received very good reviews and have been widely consulted according to the Academia.edu page; so it seemed a good idea to gather them and give them a chronological continuity.
