Voltage Profile Improvement Using FACTS in Transmission System

Nowadays transmission system is mostly interconnected and power sharing between the lines leads to overloading of transmission lines. Transmission line overloading can be avoided by installing flexible AC transmission system (FACTS) devices in the system. In this book we tried the platform that is using virtual reality to help power engineers to find best suitable location for placement of FACTS devices to improve voltage profile. In this book Mipower software is used to solve the load flow studies without and with FACTS devices it also provides the information regarding reactive power compensation using different devices and how to improve the voltage profile in power system. This book is useful for B Tech and M Tech students, who are doing their projects in load flow studies.
