Vranjic is a birthplace one of greatest archeologist of early christianity - Don Frane Buli and also Don Luka Jeli . Klapa Hurania /latin name for Vranjic/ is also from here. There is small villa rustica found there so it is believed that Vranjic stood as a place for vacation of rich salonitan citizens (salonitan from Salona - Colonia Martia Iulia Caesara) (now town of Solin. Population est : 1500 in the 2001.
