Details

With low urbanization level, Ethipoia has high urban unemployment level for the age renge 15-30. This is attributed to luck of regerious and the country's historical events. The forces of urbanization were not socio-economic development like developed nations but the poverty push factors in rural area. Some discribe the trend as "Urbanizing the Rural Poverty". This extended rural poverty had made the increasing Ethiopian urban centers to unfit with the municipalities' service delivery capacity. In line with this, the unemployment rate is increasing which has putting pressure on the subject's social and psychological behaviours. Although health risk behaviors are influenced by several factors, unemployment, extreme poverty and lack of knowledge and experience of them exacerbate and perpetuate them. As a result, the youth in Ethiopia have faced profound sexual and reproductive health problems like early marriage, unplanned pregnancy, unsafe abortions, sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AIDS and, gender inequality. In the study, the unemployed youths IN Adama city were compered with their unemployed counters and they were found to be in great vulnerability context.
