He is the founder of Raz Entertainment, a film and television production company.Wali Razaqi was born in Kabul, Afghanistan during the Soviet invasion, but escaped with his family in 1979. After living in India, Germany, and New York, his family settled in the beachside community of Santa Cruz, California when he was 8 years old.A standout quarterback growing up, he still holds all major passing records at Harbor High School. At the Pacific Rim Film Festival screening of September Tapes, Santa Cruz City Mayor Scott Kennedy made an official proclamation naming October 8 "Wali Razaqi Day" in the city.
