Waste and reuse of fruit and vegetables

Currently, the contribution of the consumption stage in the estimated value of food waste in Portugal is recognized, so a sociological and behavioural approach may yield advantages in exploring and understanding this phenomenon in the household environment. This research study aims to characterise the profile of consumers of a Portuguese hypermarket chain regarding the waste and reuse of fruit and vegetables in the home environment.
