Water Quality in Micro-basins of Quebradas

This study determined the quality of water in micro-watersheds of streams: Las Pavas - Shushuhuayco - Turunuma and the Cemetery in western neighborhoods of the city of Loja, for which the analysis of 10 parameters was performed to be compared with Table 9 of Ministerial Agreement 097 A, once these parameters were analyzed, the values were projected in the Minitab program to identify the average and which sampled points are above the maximum permissible limits. In addition, the presence of solid waste was found in the streams, which is why during this project the respective characterization of certain critical waste points was carried out; having as a result Plastic Covers, Cloth, Paper and Cardboard, Plastic Tubs, glass and metals. Once the project's contamination hotspots were identified, an Environmental Management Plan was proposed, involving the competent authorities and residents.
