The work includes water resource management in hard rocks, alluvial terrain islands as well as controversies of Islands. Interlinking of the rivers are being considered as the future solution to manage the water resources of India. In this book the case study of Ken-Betwa interlinking of the rivers and its role in water resource management has been discussed. Professor Saumitra Mukherjee of School of Environmental Sciences Jawaharlal Nehru University has 25 years experience in Remote sensing Applications in Environmental Geosciences. He has guided 11 PhD and author of 75 papers 5 books and completed 11 projects. He has developed Space Environment Viewing Network facility in India with CRD Armenia.
