Details

"Water stress in the rice crop, its impact on productivity" carried out in dry season of 2016, located in the Junta de Usuarios América-Lomas del cantón Daule province of Guayas, Ecuador. It is important to highlight, that in this research work there were savings of 75% in seed in relation to the farmer (TA); the general average of seed use in the country is 45 kg/ha, for this planting system there is a saving of 64.51%, likewise in the management of irrigation water use there is also a saving of 39.5% (research 726.4 m³ vs producer 1016 m³) with respect to the producer. When planted at a distance of 0.35 x 0.35 m, with two plants per site corresponding to the research (T2) compared with the TA planted at a distance of 0.25 x 0.25 m, and eight plants per site, there is a numerical difference, in which the T2 exceeds the TA by approximately 19%. The T2 treatment (research), had a profitability of 97% on production costs and 49% in sales income in relation to the control (TA) which obtained a profitability of 45% on production costs and 31% in sales income.
