In North Maharashtra region, Dhulia is one of the districts. It is also known as the ancient city. This city is situated an the bank of river "Panzara". An old part of this city is called as old Dhulia among local residents. During British rule, Dhulia citys planning was done by Hon. Late Bharat rtna sir M. Vishweshwaryah, hence this well planned city as per the civil engineering aspects, has been recognisedby "Guinness Book of World Record "for "well planned city". At present Dhulia is at the developing stage with the population around 4-5 lacks but still the water treatment plant.
